Changes to Pap Smears

As of the 1st December cervical screening has changed in Australia.
The Pap test is being replaced with a new Cervical Screening Test every 5 years for women over 25.
Women between 18 and 25 will no longer be eligible for free cervical screening unless symptomatic.
The test is the same procedure as before but is now testing for the Human Papillomavirus (known as HPV )
